Plan of Salvation

The Bible says, “everyone has sinned and is far away from God’s saving presence (Romans 3:23 TEV).”  Our sin is deserving of death and complete separation from God.  God has made a way for men to have a relationship with Him through Jesus.  In order to have a relationship with God we must agree with God about the condition of our hearts and accept that Jesus has died on the cross for our sins.  By confessing of our sin, asking for forgiveness, believing Jesus died on the cross and arose from the dead, we are saved.  The Bible states, “If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved.  For it is by our faith that we are put right with God, it is by our confession that we are saved (Romans 10:9-10 TEV).”  Salvation cannot be earned but it is a free gift from God, “For sin pays its wage –death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23 TEV).”  Once we accept God’s gift of salvation we must allow Jesus to have total control over our lives.  We must also continue to mature in our relationship with Him.  The Bible says, “But God has shown us how much He loves us –it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us.  By His blood we are now put right with God.  We were God’s enemies, but He made us His friends through the death of His Son (Romans 5:8,9a, 10 TEV).”

God gave me the opportunity to share His plan of salvation with many women at Daybreak Ministries.  This ministry ministered to women who were living in sexual immorality and suffering the consequences of their sin.  Through this ministry, I was reminded of God’s love and His immeasurable grace and mercy.  This experience allowed me to witness the healing power of God’s Word.  Daybreak Ministries allowed me to grow tremendously in my relationship with the Lord.
